Review: Devoted in Death

Devoted in Death Devoted in Death by J.D. Robb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ella-Loo Parsens and Darryl Roy James are a couple, a couple of serial killers who are leaving a lot of bodies all over the States, they are killing for the sexual thrill of their sadistic murders..

The body of an opera Cellist, Dorian Kuper is found and NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas returning from her holiday is given the investigation and begins the hunt for the serial killers along with her sidekick Peabody. On examining the dead body, Eve found a mark, this was a mark done after his death, in the shape of a heart with two initials, E & D, at first she thinks it could be the deceased's initial until they realise that over 20 bodies that have turned up over the states have the same marking. Proof positive there is a pair of serial killers.

The police investigation is terrific and I really enjoyed the characters, the killers are sadistic, and Eve is definitely going to get them

The killers get all horny after they kill, so they definitely are going to keep on killing if they are not stopped.

This story does give some explicit details on the injuries sustained, but they are tastefully done, nothing too gory at all. The main emphasis is on the police and solving the crimes, and the police procedures undertaken to find the killers.

The Author really has done a terrific job of this novel I was gripped right from the very first page, there was nothing I disliked about it at all, and I am so happy that I was given this book to read by the publishers via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
