In a race against time, can Natasha expose Matthew Chrysler before his assassin murders her family and shatters her world?

REVIEW - 5 stars
Blog this is an intriguing book about fighting an organization that teaches young children to be more prone to violence and shootings. Natasha is a new single mother, who is writing a blog for other mothers informing them of the bad influences that violent games have on young kids.
Natasha one day is outside in the snow with her kids when a man walks up and apologizes for having to shoot her, but he misses (or does he). His actions toward her keeps her from blogging anymore to save her children. Well, until that fated day at the mall when yet another child takes a gun and starts killing people and the same mall that Natasha is at and trying to save someone from the shooter. She comes home and she just cannot help herself. She decides to blog and put herself back on Chrysler’s hit list.

Alex is sent back to stop Natasha once and for all this time to keep Chrysler from losing another contract. After Alex threatens Natasha again she refuses to keep the blog going so the blog is takin over by a cooperation that hates and fights Chrysler, as much as, she does. This end in Luke getting killed and Natasha constantly tormented. She is forced to go unto a talk show host to debunk her standing to save her family but Alex still will not leave her alone after threatening her family and ex-husband. Finally, Natasha has enough and with Ivy’s help Natasha stands her ground gets Chrysler and his army contract friend into some hot water. She rescues her family, Alex, and so the story ends….or does it?!

Review of Redeem This (Tenderness and Terror: Clean Romantic Suspense Series Book 2) by Cami Checketts

Redeem This:

Authors Blurb
Some men are beyond redemption. Alex is one of them.
After Alex Chakhota was blackmailed and manipulated into becoming a hit man to protect his sister, serving time as the FBI's assassin doesn't do much to ease his conscience. His next assignment brings him face to face with Brittany, a beautiful woman that believes he's more than the killer he's been made into. The road to redemption is long for someone with a blackened soul, and with lives hanging in the balance, Alex has a short deadline.
Detective Scott Bentley's days of law enforcement are behind him. When he's asked to host agents at his secluded ranch for an FBI sting operation, Scott cannot refuse. Ivy McMahon shows up with the team, and Scott gets more than he signed up for. Not only can she hack into the any computer system, she's found a way into Scott's heart. The trouble is that she's in protective custody and when the job ends, she'll disappear. Is redemption possible for those whose lives are scarred by the past?
Is redemption possible for those who lives are scarred by the past? With danger crowding close, not even love may have a chance to redeem before it's too late.
Scott is on his horse farm taking a break from the grueling life of a detective when the FBI calls on him to help with a case that is breaking near his farm. Scott is not excited to have Alex back in his life but will do what he has too. Scott is intrigued to see the feisty brunette Ivy that was a part of the Natasha case just a short time ago.

REVIEW - 5 stars
After Scott deals with the FBI, he runs into Brittany on his farm, who is running from her ex-husband with her daughter Savannah. When, Scott calls the FBI to help her get away he learns that Brittany can help with the case they are trying to deal with. Brittany and Savannah stay with Scott to help build the case to take down her ex.
Alex shows up at Scott’s farm just trying to do what the FBI wants to help protect his sister, who has Down syndrome, but he did not realize he would be meeting Brittany and her daughter Savannah. Neither did he realize that she would help make him into a better man. However, he first had to get passed Ivy, the woman he hurt when he killed Ivy’s fiancé. He just came to do a job and take down a bad guy, but is there hope that he can find forgiveness from Ivy and love from Brittany?
Ivy was all for helping the FBI take down scumbags and had the tech suave to know how to do it, as long as, there was an inside man to help. Ivy never counted on the inside FBI man being Alex. Ivy hated Alex for killing her fiancé and stealing her life away from her. Ivy is bound and determined to keep Alex from having any happiness with Brittany until she finally forgave Alex and allowed herself to fall for Scott.

Brittany, Ivy, Alex, Scott, and the FBI agents take down the criminals, save Brittany in the process but have to deal with an escaped Chrysler. Ivy and Alex have to say goodbye to the ones they have just fallen in love with so that Ivy can be protected and Alex can kill Chrysler. However, in the process of Alex dealing with Chrysler he is killed or is he… This book is definitely worth the read. You will not be disappointed by any means and you are always left wanting more.

Excerpt

The edge of the mattress bumped his knees and he lowered them both across the bed. Her hips welcomed him, arching up to meet his thrust. Nails stroked lightly across his neck, dragging a ragged groan from him.
"You'd better get rid of these clothes before I tear them off you, baby. I can't wait." That voice grabbed him by the balls and spurred him on.
Kellen stood long enough to kick off his boots and folded his cut across the back of the chair against the wall. Jeans and shirt followed. "You better get rid of that dress, little girl, before I finish ripping it off you."
A lazy smile curved her lips. "I dare you."
A surge of pure heat settled in his belly. "I was hoping you'd say that." The torn edge of her gown felt thin as tissue between his fingers as he lifted it away from her body. The tear ended at the top of her shapely thigh, tempting him to rip it the rest of the way and reveal all of her. But no. He'd looked forward to this moment too much to rush. He fully intended to take his sweet time.
Instead of devouring her immediately, he dropped to his knees beside the bed. The fancy shoes intrigued him, the way they emphasized the delicate arch of her foot and the fragile bones of her ankle. Rather than remove them, he kissed along the curve of her instep and found his way to her calf.
An impatient noise came from her and she moved to pull away, but he held her fast. "Kellen, please, this is not time for foreplay." She hissed a little when his tongue found the back of her knee.
"Little girl, this ain't foreplay. This is me making every inch of you mine." The moan of frustration she made brought a smile to his lips. She would be as finely tuned to him as his bike before he finished, ready to respond to his every thought.

Review of LITTLE BILLY WAGNER by Francis J. Flynn

I found this story hilarious at times, some real quirky parts, some sombre and religious parts, a team of priests are set to perform an exorcism on little Billy Wagner.  Perhaps the name little is a bit comical in itself as he is described as being a big strong 12-year-old.

We get told about the sexual misdemeanours of the boy's father, perhaps these could be part of the possession of little Billy?

Set in our time, this is truly well written, quirky comments, highly entertaining, dark in parts but then only to be expected in a book about an exorcism.

Author Bio:
Kacey is a pen name for two friends, Kelly and Claire. We started this journey together writing Rocking Esme in January 2014. We are avid readers and love all kinds of books. We were inspired to write a rock star book as that’s one of my (Kelly) favourite sorts of books to read. We joked about writing a book and then once we started it kind of just took off and we really love it. We both contributed to all of the Rocking books. Now Claire has taken a back seat due to work commitments and I wrote ‘Taking A Chance’ by myself and Claire was very much involved with the editing, reading and formatting. Now, I have written ‘Giving A Chance’ and had help from many of my friends with editing and beta reading.

It still makes me so happy to see reviews and sales going up. I love writing and hope to do it as more of a full time job in the future.

-- EXCERPT --

Her back was pressed up against the wall; there wasn’t even an inch to spare. Julian bent and kissed her neck. People yelled at each other outside the bus, and voices hummed inside, as well. “We don’t have any privacy.”
Julian kissed the sweet spot right behind her ear. “That’s true,” he whispered. “Anybody could walk in.” The bus shook as things were loaded into the storage wells.
Excuse me,” someone said, just outside the door. “Hey, has anybody seen Lazros?”
Julian put his hand over Cleo’s mouth. “Shh…”
He unbuckled his belt, and she heard his zipper go down.
I’m in my bunk,” he said to the door. “What do you want?”
Oh, God. He was actually going to carry on a conversation with someone just a few steps away while he…what would he do next?
His knee went between her legs, forcing them apart. Oh.
Wayne wants to know if you’ll be keeping your Les Paul with you or if you want him to take care of it.” The voice was so close. Right outside the door!
I’ll keep it,” Julian answered. Then he slipped his fingers between her thighs, inside her panties, and she closed her eyes and tried not to whimper. Julian’s voice was right at her ear. “Oh, Cleo,” he whispered. “Somebody is a naughty girl.” She totally was.
He pulled his hand away and stepped back. Cleo thought she’d fall, but somehow her legs held her up.
Onto the bunk, baby,” Julian said softly. “Spread your legs.”
She looked over his shoulder at the small door. “What if someone tries to come in?” Her pulse sped up.
Julian grinned. “They’ll hit my ass with the door.” He gently pulled on her hand until she sat on the bunk. His fly was already open, and he wasvery ready to go. He pressed her shoulder until she leaned back. Keeping a nervous eye on the tiny, uninsulated door that led to the narrow corridor, Cleo pressed her knees tightly together. But only because she wanted to hear him beg. Or demand. Or anything, really.
Uh-uh, little girl,” he said. “Spread those legs. And give me the knickers—they’re going on tour.”

-- ABOUT the AUTHOR --
Carol Pavliska began her writing career as a family humor columnist and blogger, a pursuit she abandoned when her children grew old enough to realize they were being exploited. To save them from further embarrassment, she turned to writing fiction. Her debut novel is a steamy contemporary romance so, unfortunately, the children are still embarrassed.
Carol and her husband, both diehard Red Hot Chili Peppers fans, raise their vegan brood of mortified offspring on a cattle ranch in south Texas. No lie.

My Review of The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton (5 stars)

Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to review this book!!

Well, what can I say except FREAKING awesome.  At first I was saying to myself oh yeah come on kids are not as articulate as this, they are not likely to say these things and was quite smug with myself for "catching the author out"!! Yeah not likely I had no sooner said that to myself when the author obviously smarter than me wrote that the child was highly intelligent, gifted or words to that effect! Slapdown for me, typical.

Anyway the story is narrated by Ruby, a little girl whose father has been out in the wilderness of Alaska, where a serious fire has reportedly burned the total village killing everyone (including Ruby's Dad).

Ruby and her mother try to get the police to investigate the area again, to find Ruby's dad, they both believe he is alive and alone out there and needs to be rescued.  With nobody believing them, they set off on a perilous trip to find little Ruby's dad, and that trip is fraught with danger.  The roads are treacherous, the driver of the wagon who gave them a ride is taken ill and had to be transported to a hospital.  Realising they are being followed, Ruby's mum takes the wagon and drives it herself to find her missing husband.

The trip is on the icebound roads, where there is just darkness, no daylight, and a storm brewing that could cause an avalanche and kill them.  Should they go on? should they return to Fairbanks?

I will not say anything further about the story as I do not wish to spoil your enjoyment, but take it from me, you will be ROOTED TO THE SPOT, you will become obsessed to read on further, you will more than likely become their cheerleader, hoping that they make it safe to their destination.

Mother and daughter's bond was not as strong as the father, daughter bond, but surely this trip will change that!!!

The Quality of Silence is a fantastic thriller and I for one will make sure I read more of this author's work.

BLOG TOUR - PAYTON'S PURSUIT

Payton Winters is thrust into the position of CEO of The Winters Corporation after the sudden death of her parents. Confronted with the knowledge she was born with special abilities, she finds herself in the dilemma of being a grounding force to people who possess psychic powers. She has unwillingly become the mental anchor to the one man she wants no part of, Collin McBain. While on a routine mission, Collin is drugged, tortured, and injected with wolf DNA. Now believed dead, he is secretly assigned to the Winters Campus.

Faced with the reality that her life is based on half-truths, Payton is on a pursuit to uncover her mother’s scientific research. She desperately needs to understand why she and her two sisters were genetically altered before birth. Payton’s path to discovery is littered with danger as she finds herself embroiled in a world of secrets, lies, kidnapping, and murder. She struggles to understand the events of the past in order to cope with her future. Will Payton’s pursuit for the truth be her last?

MY REVIEW by Lilian Flesher

Payton and her two sisters Victory and Willow run a huge research facility where Victory is the Biochemist and Payton the CEO.  It was built close to their home on the  ground they purchased off the government, but as part of the deal they had a contract with the government.

Victory was kidnapped by Collin who had been kidnapped and subject to human testing by Biotech a company in close competition with Payton's.  Collin was actually injected with Wolf DNA, and this caused him to have very erratic behaviour, and he was being helped by Victory to find a cure.  It was a bungled attempt by Biotech to recover Collin and continue their experiments on him, but his rage took over and in his blind wolf-like state, he had heightened senses and realised that Victory was in danger so he took her to save her.  Later Victory tried to work on a serum to help Collin to suppress the wolf in him.

Payton's mother was a scientist and had struggled to conceive, she had invented a drug to help her conceive, but it appears it was tampered with because the 3 sisters all had some kind of power.  Peyton had never really tried to progress hers at all but when she was in the presence of Collin she was overtaken by a terrible feeling, she would get violent headaches, his aura seemed to invade her brain and the consequence was she would end up passed out.  Her sister  decided it was time to help Payton hone in on her own powers, she could fine tune it and use it to block out Collin thus avoiding the headaches and passing out that was happening to her.  One of the sisters could telepathically speak to her husband, so she really had to get Payton to become in tune with her own, to reach the core of it and use it to help herself.

Whilst this was all going on, behind the scenes Biotech and their associates were plotting to get Collin back and when the opportunity arose to kidnap Payton to use as leverage, they leaped into action and kidnapped her.

There is actually a lot of thing happening in this story, from the simple things like training Payton to use her power, to the more elaborate things, like planning a rescue mission, murder and even a touch of sex (tastefully done I might add)

No detail was left out, everyone had a role and each role was explained making it a very exciting and interesting read.  I thoroughly enjoyed each and every page of this book.
