Wow, I got really absorbed in this story, an heiress vanishes, Detective Stephen Lavender is the lead investigator along with his partner Constable Woods. The pair made an exceptional duo, a bit like Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. They were thorough and had their moments of humour.
The Heires of Linn Hagh has disappeared, the family are giving nothing away, and people around them are not being helpful at all, the farmers and the gypsies seem to be obstructive to say the least.
This is a delightful story, full of little surprises, it was terrific reading how Lavender and Wood, solved the mystery whilst still maintaining their fun side too.
