DOLL FACE by Tim Curran - NEW RELEASE

I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So many things happened, however saying that if you think you could read this without jumping, cringing, flinching, you probably are very wrong.  The descriptions of the mannequins/puppets were so graphic, you could not help but to see them in your mind, these things would give the best of us nightmares!!!  The title of the book itself sure does conjure up weird ideas before you even open the book.

The author sure has a vivid wild imaginative train of thought, the repetitiveness was the only downside I would say but then again the whole point of the story was repetition, everything was changing, then changing back, and changing more, like an endless train of thought!!!  Perhaps the author chose to put in so much repetition in order to emphasise what horrors the group were having to endure!!!

FALLEN ANGEL series by TRACIE PODGER

I first got to know about The Fallen Angel series of books when I joined Tracie Podger's Street Team, the teasers were so exciting I had to just run and One Click on Amazon to purchase Book 1 in the series.  WOW oh WOW I cannot believe how soon I became hooked on the story ( page 1 lol).

So what can I say about the Fallen Angel Series, omg I can say plenty, this set of books are absolutely awesome, it starts in England with Brooke, who after a broken relationship heads to USA for a holiday to visit her gay friend.  Brooke loves it there and before long she has became  embroiled in the life of  Robert Stone a deep, dark, dangerous chunk of hunk.

The two begin a romance that you can clearly see is very deep and very meaningful, the sexual chemistry is second to none, the author captures the essence of this in her erotic scenes, which blow your mind.

I totally got absorbed in this book when i opened my kindle at 11pm at night for a quick read of a few pages, hours later i was finished as I could not put it down, it gripped me from page 1, and held my attention all night, deprived me of sleep but oh how it was worth every missing minute lol.

I quickly set off and purchased book II, book III, Robert & Evelyn, and await her new book the last part of the Fallen Angels we are told, the wonderful Travis, who was a childhood friend of Robert Stone, they have been through some fun times and some tough times together.

If i could give this series a 100 star rating I certainly would, it was the best read I have ever had (and I did read Fifty Shades of Grey) this was much better lol

LOYALTY AND LIES by L.A. COTTON

I was given this book to review in return for an honest review.

MY REVIEW

This story starts with Savanah Parry, 18 year old who had her life turned upside down after a serious accident.  Savanah or Ana as she prefers to be called travels over 3000 miles across the state to start at Chastity Falls Academy, this is her fresh start, and time maybe to heal although her physical injuries have healed her mind needs longer as memories haunt her.

Chasity Falls is a new chapter in Ana's life, time to move forward if only she can.  Ana struggles at first to settle in, she keeps herself to herself, even avoiding telling her new room mate Elena anything about herself,   Elena tries to involve a reluctant Ana into the party life, eventually convincing Ana to join her attending the first party of the new Term.  The parties are wild, the main focus of the parties are Chastity Fallen, one of the most successful NCAA college football teams.  The Fallen players rule the campus, they rule off and on the field.

Ana is not interested in The Fallen, their reputation does not appeal to her, however one person does appeal to her, the sexy looking Jackson, whose attention she has definitely got!!!  Ana is not ready for romance, but this man has her senses tingling beyond belief.  Gradually they become a couple but it has to be secret, as the leader of The Fallen is not the kind of man to take Jackson's attachment to Ana very kindly, after all they are like brothers since his father brought Jackson up.

This was one of these stories, you expected to be a bit slow to start and gradually build up, but I was pleasantly surprised, I was smitten by it from get go.  The pace was set perfect, everything flowed extremely well, the twists, turns, surprises were exceptional.  I really enjoyed the whole book, the cover is fabulous, the teasers perfect, an extremely well thought out book, written with passion, because u feel the feelings, you also are aware of their fears, you almost feel the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

This is the first in a series, so be prepared for a cliff-hanger!!!

If i could I would give this a higher rating than is allowed, its an awesome, touching, exciting story.

EXCERPT

A few minutes into class, the door opened and a tall, dark-haired beauty rushed in, apologizing to the teacher with an innocent smile. The girl rushed across the room and slid into the seat right in front of Suzanne, who found herself staring and not caring one bit that she was. The purple aura around the newcomer was comforting . . . welcoming.

With a soft sigh, the girl dropped her bag before rummaging around in it for something. She finally found what she’d been after—a hairpiece—and as she straightened up and twisted the satiny lengths of her onyx hair into a messy bun, Suzanne was hit with a wave of sweet scent.

The smell reminded her of the beach—coconuts and limes. Surprisingly, she found herself leaning forward to try and sniff the girl who chose that moment to turn around, her pretty brown eyes widening at Suzanne’s proximity.

“Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to startle you,” she whispered and though her voice shook, she pressed on. “Hi, I’m Suzanne Cross. I just transferred here and well, I’m having a party on Friday to try to get to know some people . . .” The words rambled out while she pushed a flyer toward the girl, trying to cover her inappropriate sniffing. What the hell? Suzanne didn't do girls, but something about this girl was calling to her.

The girl didn't grunt. She didn't give Suzanne a noncommittal nod either. Instead, she took the flyer, looked it over, and then looked up at Suzanne with a brilliant smile.

She couldn't help thinking how very beautiful the girl was and her head was having a hard time wrapping around that.

“Nice to meet you, Suzanne,” she whispered back. Her breath was tinted with a minty scent. “I’m Heather. This sounds great, but I need to check my calendar. I might have something going on,” she said politely before turning back around to pay attention to the history professor.

Suzanne had to give the girl credit for at least being amiable. She was the first person to speak to her all day—even if it had been a tactful dismissal. It hadn't escaped Suzanne’s notice that most of the invitations she’d distributed throughout the day were left behind on seats, or even blatantly wadded up and tossed in the trash when people left the classrooms.

Class ended an hour later, and Suzanne was beyond ready to get home and light up. There was a shitload of homework to tackle, but it could wait a little bit until she’d mellowed. She was gathering her things when Suzanne felt a tap on her shoulder. Looking up, she was met with Heather’s sweet face.

“Hey, Suzanne, I just wanted to ask, if I can make it, is it okay if I bring my boyfriend? Friday’s his birthday and it would be awful of me to ditch him.” Heather let out a cute giggle, and she found herself smiling despite the absurdity of her reaction.

THE BONE COLLECTOR - Jeffery Deaver

Omg I absolutely loved this book, its everything I expected it to be and much more, I loved the movie the Bone Collector based on this book, but I think the movie does not quite make me tingle with suspense like the book did.  I am a fan of serial killers, crime stories etc so this really rocked my boat!!!

Every step of the way your gripped from the first page to the very last page, the author has gone to the top of one of my favourite authors now!!

Ardor (Ardor, #1)Ardor by Elena M. Reyes

Sexy, sassy, funny, exciting Novella,

I was given a copy of Ardor in exchange for an honest review.

The main character is Gregory, manager of his store, he had a wife and home everything he needed except for one thing, his wife was a cheat who was just another GOLD DIGGER.

Distraught over his wife's behaviour Greg vows to keep away from women, but how will he manage to do that when one day a hot sexy woman names Jasmine walks into his store for an interview for a cashiers position. Jasmine does things to him he cant control, when he asks her to do something at work and she responds yes Sir, his legs turn to jelly, his manhood has a mind of its own when he is around her and she says that word yes SIR. Gregory fights with all his willpower to keep her at arms length, but this is one battle he will definitely lose!!! The man cannot function when she is not around, he is like a maniac when she goes on a date with anyone, yes he has the love bug, but can he admit it.
