Review of Made In Sweden Part I: The Father by Anton Svensson (Release Date approx 6th August 2015)

MADE IN SWEDEN Part 1: The Father

I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher/author via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

A family of 3 boys and a fourth (not a real brother just one who wants to be) have become criminals.  They just organised and pulled off an armoured car robbery, but a slight error in timing meant they only got 1 bag containing a million kroner instead of 10m.  The guard had time to lock the others up where the boys couldn't get to them no matter how hard they tried it would not open.  That was the first of the boys reign of terror.  Their first hoist but definitely not there last.

This is a gritty read from the start, the boys father is a bit of a bully boy, likes his drink and is feared around town by most.  He learns his boys how to be tough and ruthless, this results in the robberies they commit being violent beyond necessity.

I loved how the boys interacted with each other and how Leo led them, he was the mastermind, the one with the ideas and a pretty smart boy for sure. This is a fabulous story very intense and a great insight into how the brothers and their friend interacted.  I chuckled at times, gasped at others, so make sure you read this it is honestly exciting and well written with a terrific amount of shocks to keep you rooted to the story!
